To prepare children and youth for adulthood and the world of work by connecting academic excellence to real-world entrepreneurial experience, fostering a legacy of productive leadership in our community.
Our Goals
To fulfill our mission, the Life Development Department focuses on three foundational pillars:
Pillar 1: EDUCATING with Academic Purpose
We aim to build the academic foundation required for strategic success.
Academic Advancement: Facilitate homework assistance and tutoring in reading and writing to help participants reach high levels of educational attainment.
Technological Literacy: Deliver focused workshops and digital skills training designed to equip students with the high-tech proficiencies necessary for the modern world.
Standards-Based Growth: Develop curriculums designed to meet State Board of Education guidelines, ensuring our youth are prepared for competitive environments.
Pillar 2: SUPPORTING with Structure Skills
We aim to provide a safe environment where youth can focus on their growth.
Comprehensive Supervision: Facilitate a safe, structured environment for youth to grow under caring supervision, with a goal of offering before, after, day, and night care options.
Skill Development: Create specialized opportunities that allow students to challenge themselves and develop the proficiencies needed to succeed in the workforce, regardless of status.
The WeSHARE School Program: Offer a unique hub where students complete mandatory community service and work-study requirements while building deep ties to their community.
Pillar 3: INSPIRING with Vision Opportunity
We aim to ignite the entrepreneurial spirit and the dignity of work.
Student Service Learning: Develop “Life Investment” opportunities through various learning pathways and job training in areas such as childcare, maintenance, technology, and tutoring.
Entrepreneurial Mastery: Conduct workshops focused on the basics of starting and operating a business, money management, and the practical skills needed for a successful transition to adulthood. These workshops serve as a foundational resource to enhance the participation in the Visionary H.E.L.P. Initiative.
The ESI Scholarship Program: Reward dedicated youth volunteers through this exclusive program. We invite community partners to join us in Sponsoring a Scholar to invest in those who have already proven their commitment to service.
